Checking In

I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed for an article on dealing with life post-chemo for our local newspaper, the Dallas Morning News. I say pleasure, but it was actually tough to talk about that time in my life, even though I think about it all the time. Looking at photos of that time was even tougher.

Thank you for having the courage to be vulnerable and share from your heart about your experience. You have let me know through the years that I am not alone on life’s path. -Kathleen

Kathleen, I got your email while I was camping in WY and still haven’t responded. 😦 I plan on catching up on all your blog posts. Sorry for taking so long!

So good to hear from you again, Angela! I liked what you said at the end, that it seems like it was a long time ago. To be able to say that must be huge. I’m so proud of you!

I recall the difficult time of your journey, and I still remember how you impressed me with your attitude … and that same attitude came forward loud and clear in the article and on the video. Thanks for sharing!!!! Cheers to you smiling!

hi angela! thanks for sharing the article. i know i’m a little late to read this, but i enjoyed it just the same. although i am not a cancer survivor, i suspect that is some solid advice in those words and i think probably some of it can apply to other traumatizing situations in life. i was happy to read your words – you are an inspiration and i really like your life attitude. happy mother’s day!

Monica! So, so sorry for the slow response. I have been reading your posts and celebrating your return! For some reason, though, I haven’t been able to comment on any of them. Dumb computers! I’m doing great, coming up on 5 yrs cancer-free, now have 3 grandkids (and one more due end of August), and we’re building a small house in Wyoming! Life is really good. I hope you’re doing better and look forward to lots more posts from you! xxxooo
